During my internship at Vaquera, I worked within the team on the seasonal collection, F/W 2022. My primary focus was developing samples and the development of the footwear in collaboration with Vans (Worldwide). I was also responsible for direct contact with factories in New York, coordinating development, adjustments, and production feedback, helping to translate the design team’s wishes to the factories.

I developed shoe designs from initial concepts through to final execution, translating the brand’s language into a commercial skate shoe. This included silhouette development, proportion, material decisions, and ongoing revisions in collaboration with the team.

Through the collaboration with Vans, I strengthened my communication and stakeholder management skills. I worked across design, production, and external partners to align creative intent with technical and commercial requirements. I translated artistic direction into wearable, production ready footwear concepts. This process required clear decision making, iterative feedback, and constant coordination between the design team and factories.
